1+1 Ranch is full of the joys of spring today – we just pulled a set of twins from one of our first calf heifers. Normally a first calf heifer can’t raise two babies on her own, so we left one with his mother and took the other off, bottle feeding him until we found him a new mom. ​

I must admit, it’s hard not to get attached when you’re feeding him 4 times over a 24 hour period. I try not to name our calves, but Kellie who helps out here at 1+1 Ranch calls him Boomer. We sadly lost another calf, but this mean we could graft Boomer onto his new mommy (other than me!).

 

As you can see from the picture, he is pretty adorable… you can see why I got a little attached!
