Each day can be an adventure at the 1+1 Ranch. Being a working ranch, each day includes several hours of horseback riding, helping the cowboys with their jobs including working cattle, cattle drives, checking pastures, roping, and sorting. The horses are bred, raised, and trained here in the Sandhills of Nebraska.
You’ll be teamed up with a gentle, well-schooled quarter horse that will be yours for your stay as you complete the daily ranch work with the Rowses. After the morning chores and pasture checking is done, if you like, we will head to the arena in the afternoon for some roping lessons, team penning, or additional horsemanship lessons. Jerry and Kyle are willing to share their years of ranch experience and cowboy knowledge; they have competed in the roping events at AQHA shows, Amateur and PRCA Rodeos and USTRC Team Ropings.
