Ranch Vacations

Whether you’re a Cowboy or a City Slicker

Experience the Cowboy Adventure at Rowse’s 1+1 Ranch

Whether you stay for a week or a month, your vacation or holiday at Rowse’s 1+1 Ranch will be as unique as you are. This is a true working cattle ranch, not a dude ranch or the normal guest Ranch resort. So if you’re looking to go on head-to-tail trail rides, or are someone who enjoys having your entire day scripted for you, the 1+1 Ranch may not be the place for you! Rowse's 1+1 Ranch Real Working Cattle and Horse Ranch

The Rowse family at the 1+1 Ranch invite you to become a ranch hand on a real working cattle ranch and part of their family, to participate in real cowboy work – and life – while you’re here at the ranch. It’s a life like no other, guaranteed to send you home with far more than a scrapbook full of memories! This is an experience you’ll remember forever.

Each day is a Cowboy adventure at the 1+1 Ranch. The cowboy work includes working cattle and horses bred from the Rowse’s award-winning breeding program. Their horses are bred, raised, and trained right on the ranch. You’ll be teamed up with a gentle, well-schooled quarter horse that will be yours to ride as you complete the daily ranch work with the Rowses. After the morning chores and pasture checking is done if you like we will head to the arena in the afternoon for some roping lessons. While staying on the ranch these are a few activities you will experience:

Sorting Cattle Participate in ranch work as much or as little as you like. It’s your vacation. If you wake up and decide to take the day off to read a good book or check out the surrounding scenery and attractions, that’s fine too. Whatever you choose, you’ll enjoy plenty of horse back riding, fresh air, the open range, the smell of fresh cut hay and wildflowers, the peace and gentleness of a day with no traffic, noise or pollution. The roping lessons are given by Jerry and Kyle Rowse, they have years of experience and cowboy knowledge to share with you.

Jerry and Kyle have competed in PRCA and Amateur Rodeos, USTRC Team Ropings and shown roping horses in the AQHA(American Quarter Horse Association) shows. You’ll fill up on great food too! And as you work with and get acquainted with the Rowse family and their neighbors, you’ll experience genuine hospitality and friendship that are a hallmark of the Western Tradition.
